Mindfulness is paying friendly attention to our present time experience with openness, curiosity and a willingness to be with what is, just as it is.It is. It is the ability to be aware of your thoughts in a calm, non-reactive manner. Mindfulness training will teach you to overcome unnecessary, unhelpful thoughts that have been causing you to suffer. An increasing number of research studies show that practicing meditation for as little as twenty minutes once a day promotes improved psychological well-being and mental performance.

I teach Mindfulness Meditation and Emotional Resilience/Self-Compassion classes/groups at Kaiser Permanente, Sherman Terrace, Reseda, CA and in Westlake Village, CA. I have been practicing since 2006. I am a UCLA Certified Mindfulness Facilitator (UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC), having studied with Diana Winston and Marvin Belzer, Ph.D.). I have studied Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MSBR) with Gloria Kamler. I completed Buddhism & Mindfulness Facilitator Training Level 1 with Noah Levine and JoAnna Harper at Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society.
